Firstly, you need to download and open the server package. If you need to learn how to download, refer to this article.
Step 1 - Open the downloaded file and run the installer for your platform. When prompted, accept the end-user license agreement and click “INSTALL”
Step 2: Confirm that the sensor is running
Unlike legacy endpoint security products, Falcon does not have a user interface on the endpoint. There are no icons in the Windows System Tray or on any status or menu bars.
From the windows command prompt, run the following command to ensure that “STATE” is “RUNNING”: $ sc query csagent
Once you run the command, you will see a window pop-up to allow the Falcon Sensor to make changes to the system. Select Yes to allow the Falcon Sensor to complete the installation.
Once the sensor install completes, you can check to validate that the sensor deployed by using the SC query csagent command at the command prompt. You will notice that the agent state shows a stopped state. This is expected due the NO_START=1 flag used in the sensor install command. This allows a new unique AID to be generated per WorkSpace that created from the image.
sc query csagent
Step 3: Verify sensor visibility in the Crowdstrike's console
Finally, verify that newly installed agent in the Falcon UI. To view a complete list of newly installed sensors in the past 24 hours, go to https://falcon.crowdstrike.com/login/
Navigate : Menu > Host management
The hostname of your newly installed agent will appear on this list within five minutes of installation. If you don’t see your host listed, read through the Sensor Deployment Guide for your platform to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Now you are ready to send the installer link to your employee (end-users). The next following article can teach you how to:-
